Slug Patrol

I can't tell you how happy I was when I came across this guy in the polytunnel the other day. It felt like a little nod from the local wildlife that my efforts to grow food organically while at the same time provide habitats for beneficial flora and fauna was being appreciated.



He did seem a little bewildered when a HTC phone was placed down in front of him to take this shot. A few seconds later I backed away and he moved off into cover. No doubt he re-emerged later that night and enjoyed a fine feast of organic slug!

Attracting wildlife into your garden and veg patch can yield many benefits to the gardener.
