Building the Wood Dying Shed
Design
After spending a couple of weeks researching various solutions for storing and drying firewood I settled on the design as shown above. The design provided 4 bays that could be used to separate wood of different levels of dryness. The shed has a high open front facing away from the prevailing weather but allows access to trailers or tipping vehicles if necessary. In the future, sections of the front and could be close with more lapped boards and also the bays can be partitioned if required.
I used Sketchup to produce this 3D model of the shed.
